I was pleased to work with the Congressional Black Caucus
Political Education and Leadership Institute to insure
Myrtle Beach's selection as the site of its Democratic
Presidential Debate. This Grand Strand community looks
forward to welcoming the Democratic presidential candidates
and the thousands of visitors who will come to South
Carolina for this historic event. I am sure this debate
at the Palace Theatre in Myrtle Beach will be a memorable
one for all involved.
- U. S. Congressman James E. Clyburn

I
am pleased that the Congressional Black Caucus Institute
has selected Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as the backdrop
for their Democratic Presidential Debate. America needs
and deserves leadership that is morally conscious, fiscally
responsible, and socially just. This debate will afford
the candidates a vital opportunity to outline their
strategy for strengthening families and building a better
America.
